Patricia Wars
Life can be complicated, stressful, and sometimes overwhelming. When those challenges begin affecting our emotions, relationships, work, or overall quality of life, having an experienced professional to walk alongside us can make a meaningful difference. With several decades of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor, Patricia “Pat” Wars brings both clinical experience and a compassionate, practical approach to helping clients navigate life’s challenges.
Pat works with adults ages 18 and older, as well as families with their children ages 8–15. Throughout her career, she has worked with clients experiencing a wide range of concerns, including PTSD and emotional trauma, depression, bipolar depression, anxiety, family and relationship difficulties, military and Veteran concerns, and challenges associated with the senior years.
Pat believes that a strong therapeutic relationship begins with feeling safe enough to be honest about what you are really thinking and feeling. She prioritizes listening carefully and getting to know each client’s experiences, concerns, values, and priorities before determining where therapy should go. Together, Pat and her clients develop realistic and meaningful goals that respect personal and cultural values while building upon strengths the client already possesses.
Her approach is practical as well as supportive. In addition to helping clients better understand what they are experiencing, Pat works to provide tools and strategies they can apply to everyday life. Her goal is not simply to help clients through the challenges that brought them to therapy, but to help them recognize and strengthen resources within themselves that can continue serving them long after therapy ends.
Whether meeting in the office or through telehealth, Pat strives to create a professional, trusting, and supportive environment where clients know their concerns matter and where therapy remains focused on what is most important to them.
