Fees & Insurance

Fees vary based on provider specialty. Feel free to give us a call anytime to ask about our fees if you have other questions. If you do not have insurance, the following cash rates will apply. We do not offer a sliding scale fee.

The cash rate for Ph.D. psychologists is $175 for the first session, and $160 for follow up sessions.

The cash rate for a Master’s clinician is $130 for the first session, and $115 for follow up sessions.

The cash rate for a Master’s clinician who is working towards licensure and under supervision is $85 for the first session and $75 for follow up sessions.

The cash rate for group therapy varies depending on the length, duration, and type of group. Please call our office for more details about the cost of group therapy.

A missed appointment is a missed opportunity for someone else who may be in need. Please be courteous and provide a 24 notice if you will not be able to make your appointment on the scheduled date and time.

Cancellations less than 24 hours prior to the appointment will result in a charge for the full session fee to the card on file. Insurance companies do not reimburse for missed appointments; therefore, you are responsible for the full fee.

If you miss more than two consecutive appointments, any future appointments that you have pre-scheduled may be canceled. It is vital that you make your treatment a priority and regularly attend your therapy sessions to receive the most benefit from treatment.

Some psychological evaluations are covered by insurance. Different insurance carriers vary with the types of evaluations they cover. For instance, some insurance companies cover Autism evaluations, while others will only cover this evaluation in “complex cases”. Call your insurance company to verify your benefits if you are wanting psychological testing. We will be happy to provide the CPT codes used so that you can obtain an accurate estimate for the services. All psychological testing not covered by insurance, including personality assessments and cognitive testing, will be billed at $160 per hour. Testing fees include time spent on the intake interview, test administration, scoring, interpretation, report writing, and feedback. After the intake appointment, if further testing is warranted, the psychologist will discuss with you what you can expect during the testing and the associated fees. You will then be provided with an informed consent form specific to psychological evaluations and billing. Depending on the purpose of the evaluation, this could take up to 10 hours, however the majority of the evaluations we complete take approximately 6 hours on average. Once the evaluation is complete, you will have a feedback appointment to review the results. After this appointment, all billing is submitted for the evaluation, and you will receive a copy of the evaluation when all claims and balances have been paid. Please note, you are responsible for payment of services if your insurance denies payment or reimbursement, even if they previously approved them. From the first intake appointment to the feedback session, the evaluation process usually takes about 3-4 weeks. The evaluation will provide you with a better understanding of you or your child’s difficulties. Once your final balance is paid, you will be given a copy of the evaluation, along with recommendations. With appropriate consent we can send this evaluation directly to your child’s physician or school. You will have an opportunity during the feedback session to ask any questions you may have. If your child received an evaluation, it is appropriate, in some cases for the child to attend the feedback session with you. However, you may also wish to schedule an additional appointment for your child so that the psychologist can explain the results of the evaluation in a way that is appropriate to your child’s developmental level. Please be sure to review our policy regarding fees for psychological evaluations HERE.

Time spent in any administrative services related to court, including correspondence to or consultation with attorneys, physicians, or other mental health professionals, and any requested reports will be billed at a rate of $200 per hour, with a 15 minute minimum charge.

These fees cannot be filed on insurance and must be paid at the time of service, in addition to your appointment fee or co-pay.

Under certain circumstances our therapists will testify or appear in court. Our therapists do not make custody recommendations. If this is a service you are seeking, you will need to consult with a licensed therapist who is trained and who has a specialization in custody evaluations. If it is necessary for your therapist to make a court appearance a $2,000 retainer fee is required no later than one week prior to the scheduled court date. This fee is required regardless of which party issued the subpoena. Time spent for court appearances, providing court testimony, court preparation time, or records will be billed at $200 per hour. Travel time will be billed at the same rate. Any additional time not covered by the retainer fee will be billed and is the responsibility of the client or the client’s legal guardian.

Time spent by the therapist providing any administrative services including correspondence to or consultation with another professional will be billed at the therapist’s hourly cash rate. Time spent by the therapist for any non-court related travel will be billed at the therapist’s hourly rate. All requests for records must be made in writing and will cost $1 per page.

List changes annually, and all insurance must be verified prior to your scheduled appointment.
