Eileen Danaher

Licensed Professional Counselor
License #: 82332

Eileen Danaher is a Licensed Professional Counselor with nine years of experience in clinical mental health treatment. She enjoys working with adolescents and adults from diverse backgrounds, including LGBTQ individuals, and has extensive experience helping people heal from trauma. She has also worked with children ages 5–12 who have experienced trauma.

Eileen brings an authentic, compassionate, and open-minded approach to therapy. She strives to provide a space where clients feel accepted and free from judgment, while offering gentle, direct guidance when needed. She recognizes that difficult or traumatic experiences can shape the way people respond to the world and believes those responses often make sense in the context of what a person has been through.

In her work with trauma, Eileen uses Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). She has also used Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) with children who have experienced trauma. Her areas of interest include body dysmorphia and dissociative identity disorder.

Eileen hopes to help clients feel affirmed as they heal from past experiences and build a greater sense of safety and self-acceptance within themselves.
